As some of you have seen I've build this rod for another rod builder. Mr Johan Barnard from Xtreme Fishing in george was kind enough to send me one of his personal rods to build for him. He asked what I can do paint wise, and he gave me the most difficult and expensive request to date. But I must say it looks mighty fine, SiC Fuji guides, heatshrink grip and fuji reelseat. Not every day you hear that a rod builder builds a rod for another rod builder😄, but I do appreciate him entrusting me with one of his babies.
I do also help him out with building some of his rods that clients send him, mainly those that needs to be painted, he's really busy nowadays with the two shops and can't get to it all, which I understand. I just appreciate his support for my business and trusting me to build some of his rods💪🏽. At the end of the day we share a common goal and that is to build the best quality rods that we possibly can. And I hope we can still do that for many years to come🎣
