Hot Reels spend some time with a few vintage models this month. After not seeing a Penn International 20 for years, 2 of them showed up within days of each other. after some intense searching bearings were replaced and custom parts were remade. These grand old ladies are ready for action again! Hot Reels also did some specialist drag upgrades on the notoriously poor Marquesa drags. Great reels now with great drag performance.

The bass guys might think that they have the JDM reel thing cornered and then one of these exotic beauties show up! A very rare Shimano Ocea Jigger 1500 came in for a cleaning this week. This tiny little machine was designed for deep water jigging and it punches way above its weight. A very special little reel indeed, and Hot Reels is the specialist workshop that is trusted by serious anglers to keep their reels fighting fit!

Hi folks! I had a few calls asking if I was open already. The year started very fast and I have not yet had time to post anything yet! So Yes, Hot Reels is open for business! The workshop is crazy busy and is already booked up 2 weeks in advance so please make sure you book your reels in early to avoid and last minute disappointment! Happy new year!
