THREE SPECIALISTS. ONE TEAM.
THE BODY 💪
ASSESS → TREAT → REHABILITATE → BUILD

What happens after the medical assessment?

This is where our Biokineticist, Zané, can play an important role.

Biokinetics uses exercise as a form of therapy to help you restore movement, build strength and improve physical function — whether you're recovering from an injury, returning to sport or simply wanting to become stronger and more active.
🔴 ASSESS
Understanding your movement, physical abilities, limitations and goals.
🔴 TREAT
Using carefully selected exercise to address physical limitations and support recovery.
🔴 REHABILITATE
Progressively rebuilding strength, mobility, stability and confidence in movement following injury, illness or surgery.
🔴 BUILD
Once you're moving well, we can work towards greater strength, conditioning, performance and long-term injury prevention.

It's not just about getting back to where you were.
It's about building towards where you want to be. 💪

Whether you're an athlete, weekend warrior, recovering from surgery, returning after an injury, or simply wanting to improve your fitness and quality of life, Zané can develop an exercise programme tailored to you.
And this is where our Three Specialist Series comes together:
🩺 Sports Medicine GP — HEALTH
💪 Biokineticist — BODY
🧠 Sport Psychologist — MIND

Different expertise. One team. One goal: helping you move better, perform better and live a healthier, more active life. ❤️

Physiotherapist vs Biokineticist — What’s the Difference? 🏃‍♀️💪

Ever wondered whether you should see a physiotherapist or a biokineticist?

Although both professionals work with movement, rehabilitation and physical function, their roles are different — and they can often work together as part of your recovery journey.

🔹 Physiotherapist
Often focuses on assessing and treating pain, injury and physical dysfunction, using techniques such as movement therapy, manual therapy and other rehabilitation approaches.

🔹 Biokineticist
Focuses on exercise as a form of therapy — helping you improve strength, mobility, endurance, stability and overall physical function through personalised exercise programmes.

A biokineticist can be particularly valuable during long-term rehabilitation, chronic condition management, injury prevention, improving physical fitness and preparing for or recovering from surgery.

💡 The best choice depends on your individual needs — and sometimes, the answer is both!

Your healthcare professionals can work together to help you move better, recover safely and get back to the activities you enjoy. ❤️

📍 Speak to our Biokineticist at Grootbrak Medical Centre to find out how exercise-based rehabilitation could support your health and recovery.

❤️ THE GIFT OF LIFE

We often think of gifts as something we give during our lifetime.

But organ donation offers us the opportunity to think about something much bigger — the possibility of helping others when they need it most.

Becoming an organ donor is a deeply personal decision.

🌱 Learn.
🌱 Consider.
🌱 Discuss.
🌱 Make your choice.

Whatever you decide, make sure your loved ones know your wishes.

Don't Wait for Pain to Take Action 😅

Many people only seek help once pain becomes severe. However, addressing small aches, stiffness, or movement restrictions early may help prevent them from becoming bigger problems.

Signs you shouldn't ignore include:
• Frequent neck or back pain
• Headaches linked to neck tension
• Poor posture
• Reduced flexibility or movement
• Discomfort after long hours sitting or driving

Early assessment can help identify contributing factors and guide an appropriate management plan.

Your health is an investment—taking care of your body today can benefit you tomorrow.
