Ohayo gozaimasu. After a prolonged period of silence... An update on sword classes.

Following a long and hot outdoor summer training season, the winter cold brings us in-doors to continue training Battō-dō. But what is Battō-dō you might ask?

Battō-dō is a modern Japanese sword martial art, focused on drawing and making precise cuts with the Katana. In our classes you can expect to develop discipline, self esteem, fitness and improve your concentration all while meeting and training with your like minded fellow students.

We offer both Adults and children classes. Group classes every Thursday 17:00-18:00 at the Anglican church hall. Private Lessons available on request. Training weapons will be provided.

Greyton Japanese Swordsmanship offers one on one private lesson this summer. Classes available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon between 17:00-18:00. Half hour lesson for children between 10-13 with parental supervision now available.

Join us tomorrow 20th July, 10:30-11:00 at the Morning Market for Greyton Japanese Swordsmanship's first Batto-do Demo! We will be demonstrating out eight cuts (Happo Giri), first set of Kata (Toyama Ryu Kata) and cutting a target (Tameshigiri).
