The road is dry and drivable for any cars now. Always drive with caution though. The course is all ready. Bridge construction continues
⛳️ Message from our Captain yesterday Saturday 6 June ⛳️
“Good afternoon. Have been out to the course and driven around with Gus (green keeper). Unbelievable as to how much work has taken place 🙏🙏 Yes, there are areas that are still storm affected, but 95% of the course is up and running and in awesome shape. Thanks again to the key contributors who will be acknowledge later as I don't want to omit anyone. For now we are in full swing which is absolutely amazing. 👍👍 Thank you Gus for driving this process. We are extremely grateful”.
☀️ UPDATE ☀️
The course, the fairways, the greens have already been cleared of debris. And are totally fine. There’s been no damage to the actual course. The broken bridge is currently being fixed and will be up in the next couple of days.
The road is a bit muddy today but with the wind and sunshine will be ABSOLUTELY FINE by tomorrow and the course is ready to play for anyone wanting to come! Just cannot cross over the river at 14th fairway until bridge is up which will be soon!

Hi Everyone,
We experienced some heavy downpour over the past 2 days and as the river came down, there is some damage to the course and infrastructure that our committee and community are working hard at repairing.
The bridge crossing over the river at the 14th fairway was completely washed away and needs to be rebuilt
🙏For now the course will remain closed until further communication…
The restaurant and bar are still open, however we advise small cars and anyone without 4X4 or good driving experience to rather use the Port Alfred Road to get to The Belmont. ❗️This is for today only❗️. As the sun shines and conditions improve so will the road and the course.
The course and club will be ready for K-Week!
Keep in touch directly with the club if you are needing information, don’t go on hearsay- it’s best to whatsapp Deon Van Deventer our manager.
Thank you to all who have stepped up and offered a helping hand, physical labor, advice, donations, etc! We are so lucky to live in a place like this!
