The ECGMA Albany Hunting Club organised our first open day on the 21st of August for fellow ECGMA members and prospective members to enjoy a day together.
Stephan Palos, CEO of CHASA, delivered his address to the meeting saying that it has been 40 years since the founding of CHASA and that it was interesting and indeed exciting that a founding organisation like ECGMA is still able to expand with a new club such as ours being founded so recently.
A three disciplined shoot was held and prizes given to the best marksman of each discipline. Thanks to Andrew Kirk and his team at the STAG Shooting Range, with which a memorandum of understanding was signed to be able to use their range as the headquarters for the Albany Hunting Club, the day went exceptionally well. Aiden Ross took the over-all prize for the day; two wildlife books containing knowledge and wisdom of many experienced years from Ron Thompson, who kindly donated and signed it, to the Albany Hunting Club for just such an occasion.
The Albany Hunting Club would like to thank all those in attendance, our sponsors and speakers for bringing about such a successful day.
