Mofam Ski School

Mofam Ski School Mofam Farm was originally home to the Moore family, using the river to enjoy their love of waterskiing. See you on the water!!!

They decided to share their passion of the sport, and opened Mofam River Lodge as a ski school in 2005. During its peak the ski school hosted many competitions for slalom, trick, and jump, including the National Championships for the Western Province, and became a popular stop on the competition circuit! The site also became a well desired resort as a wedding destination, and other functions and e

vents. Now under new ownership, we are pleased to bring the ski school back to life, to the flourishing waterskiing venue it once was! The history of the site, and the passion of the people that love the sport make this an exciting time to be at Mofam, and promise to drive it forward to a bright future! The ski school will be running kids coaching clubs through the summer, and hosting mini league competitions. If you’re addicted to the sport already and can’t wait to get on the water, or it’s your first time and waterskiing is always something you wanted to try, then the Mofam Ski School is perfect to accommodate you! If you want to escape from the office and everyday hustle-and-bustle, come to the tranquil setting, along the picturesque Palmiet River, or if you want to have a laugh with your friends and family, the Mofam River Lodge is ideal to get away for a day!

Mofam River Lodge is running a trick skiing clinic with world class 3 event coach Yves ‘Coyotte’ Saintviteux!!!
With Yves being 3rd in the world in trick, you won’t find a better way to improve your trick skiing! All abilities are welcome, from beginners to advanced. Whether you are just skiing for fun, or in preparation for a comp, perfect your current runs, or learn new tricks. The clinic is on Sunday 14th February. Price is R950 per skier. Includes 2 sets for each skier, and ending the day with some fun stuff! Places are limited so book quickly!

Last Ski School of the season at Mofam!!!!

As there has been a lot of interest for another ski school, we are doing one more!
This ski school will be 2 and half days and run from 4th to the 6th of March, Friday evening of 4th to the Sunday afternoon. Price is R3600 per child. Includes 6 sets of skiing over the weekend, 2 nights accommodation, and all food included.

Another great mini league weekend! Thanks to everyone for competing at the Mofam mini league. It was great fun, and good to see everyone back on the water, including some new skiers as well.

To All Mini League Skiers!

Reminder that the Mofam Mini League is Sunday 24th January, and NOT Saturday 16th!
Arrive at 8.30am, first skiier on water at 9am. Cost is R150 for first round, R100 for the second round. There will be food and drinks available. If you need any other information, feel free to contact me. We will also run practice sets on Friday and Saturday. Please send me confirmation you are entering so have an idea of numbers. Looking forward to see everyone again!

Another end to a successful ski school! We had a great week on the water, seeing some fantastic improvements! Shout-out to Paige and Sunday for getting involved on and off the water!

Mofam are hosting a January mini league on Saturday the 16th. There will be a promotional offer on Friday 15th for practice sets at a discounted price of R320 per set.
The format for the mini league will run premier and competent slalom skiers first, followed by junior and intermediate skiers running the mini course.
Entry fee will be normal price of R150 for 1 round, R250 for 2 rounds, with discounts for students.

The ski school is for all ages and abilities, and runs for 3 days. The cost is R4950, which includes 3 sets per day, accomodation for 2 nights, and all food included.
It is a great way to improve at watersking, wakeboarding, and slalom skiing, or to try something new to end the holiday season!

Hello All! I have dates for kids coaching clubs at Mofam Ski School this season! We will be running 3 clubs:

From 14th to the 16th of December
From 6th to the 8th of January
From 10th to the 12th of January

The clubs will be for 3 days and 2 nights, and each child will have 3 sets a day. The price to join is R4950 per child. This includes skiing 3 sets a day, accommodation for 2 nights, and 3 meals a day, with snacks and drinks also.

All levels of experience are welcome, from complete beginners, to skiers confidently running the slalom course. There will be the chance to learn and improve on 2 skis, wakeboarding, mono skiing, completing the slalom course, and lots more fun stuff!

Thank you to everyone who came to the mini league weekend! It was a great turnout both days, and good to see so many skiers back at the site, who made the atmosphere and the weekend a success! We have had some great feedback and look forward to putting it into practice to make this an amazing season, and turn Mofam into a premier ski site again! Less than 2 weeks to go until the Grand Opening weekend of the ski school, and mini league competition!!! Here’s an update and some details of what will be going on!

As a special promotional price, practice sets on the Saturday will be R350 per set, (usually R420), or R300 if booking 3 sets throughout the day. The beautiful black limited edition 196 Nautique will be running from 7am onwards Saturday morning. If you’re new to the site and want to see what we offer, or you need some last minute practice to blow the cobwebs off before the Sunday mini league comp, this offer is an opportunity not to be missed! Phone reception now on 0218468345 to pre-book the time slot you prefer as spaces will go fast!

There will be lots of other activities also going on for everyone to get involved in when you’re not on the water, including volleyball, slack lining, and a giant slip ‘n’ slide!

For the Saturday evening there are various options for accommodation. 2 man tents are available at R300 per person sharing, which includes use of the Mofam facilities and a choice of full cooked or continental breakfast in the morning. Own bedding is required, or Mofam can provide this at separate cost of R50.
Or there is the option to stay in one of our luxury chalets overlooking the river at R650 per person sharing.
Tents and chalet availability is limited so book now to avoid disappointment!

Sunday morning will be the 2 round mini league competition, which is great fun to take part in, and is a fantastic atmosphere to watch as well.
Food from the restaurant will also be available throughout Saturday & Sunday.
