Loock Safaris started operating in 1999, with Flippie Loock as outfitter and PH. Over time The Loocks have sourced and bred a variety of species and currently have 23 species on offer. Loock Safaris hunt on our own Loock Safari
family property of +- 30 000 acres, and also have access to various areas in the region with good relationships with local farmers. Loock safaris is a self-run operation, with Flippie overseeing to the hunt, while his wife Liesel takes care of all the catering needs. We are nestled in the Sneeuberg Mountains, close to the Wapadsberg Pass in the heart of the Eastern Cape, about a 3 hour drive from Port Elizabeth Airport. Conveniently situated 8km off from the R61 between Cradock and Graaff-Reinet, and 14km from the N9 between Middelburg EC and Graaff-Reinet. Our property is close to various scenic surroundings including the Mountain Zebra National Park. The historic town of Graaff-Reinet offers the last stop to gather that last minute hunting supplies. Altitude range from between 3000 to 4000 ft. Temperatures are mild @ 15 – 20 Degrees Celsius in winter with occasional snow falls. Summer temperatures can reach up to 38 degrees Celsius. Hunting can be done throughout the year, but generally hunting is best from March to October. Loock Safaris is known as a company that offers well managed driven hunts and top trophy hunts. We offer tailor-made packages for the individual. Non-trophy or management packages are also a big part of business, to regulate and manage our game numbers. As most of our hunting is done locally, long days spent in a vehicle is limited and gives us plenty of time to spend hunting
