Freshwater Invasion = Silent Extinction 🐟

Alien invasive fish species threaten the health of our rivers, wetlands, and indigenous aquatic life. These species often outcompete or prey on indigenous fish, throwing our vulnerable ecosystems off balance.

Help protect our freshwater habitats:

πŸ”Ή Never release invasive fish into natural water sources
πŸ”Ή Avoid moving live fish between dams, rivers or ponds
πŸ”Ή Always clean, drain, and dry your fishing or boating gear
πŸ”Ή Use indigenous bait or lures at all times when angling
πŸ”Ή Report sightings of invasive species or illegal fishing

Even small actions can have a lasting impact on our biodiversity.

Let’s stop the silent extinction and safeguard our freshwater ecosystems for future generations. πŸ’š
