Glenwood Gymnastics Club

Glenwood Gymnastics Club Glenwood Gymnastics Club was established in 2013 and we have grown from small beginnings to a diverse and vibrant community oriented club.

We offer:
• Competitive & recreational rhythmic gymnastics to girls
• Pre-school gymnastics to girls & boys
• Parkour classes to girls & boys

Rhythmic Gymnastics in a girls-only Olympic sport. It is a combination of traditional gymnastics movements, dance and hand apparatus (rope, hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon). Competitive gymnasts participate in club, provincial, national and international competitions and events. Our pre-school classes prepare our little ones for ‘big’ school, while learning basic gymnastics and life skills. Classes are jam-packed with activities to improve balance, co-ordination, strength, flexibility, gross and fine motor skills, listening skills and concentration. Our parkour classes are for girls and boys who love to spend time jumping, flipping and climbing! These classes are wonderful for children who enjoy being active, without the structure of traditional gymnastics. Gymnastics is a great activity for children with ADD, learning challenges and fine or gross motor challenges. All our coaches are qualified according to Gymnastics South Africa’s coaching framework and our 5 senior coaches have FIG (International Gymnastics Federation) qualifications. All our coaches are fun and enthusiastic, with the child's best interests at heart and all have been trained in First Aid. We encourage our gymnasts to work hard, be kind and to be the best versions of themselves.
