🔻✨ Turning the World Upside Down ✨🔻

Tripod Pose and Inverted Bakasana invite us to see things from a completely different perspective.

With the stability of a tripod base and the focus of Crow Pose, this playful inversion asks us to balance strength with surrender, courage with calm, and effort with trust.

Being upside down teaches us something valuable: sometimes growth happens when we're willing to step out of our comfort zone and look at life from a new angle.

It isn't about being fearless. It's about feeling the fear, taking a breath, and exploring what's possible anyway.

At Limber Lotus, we love watching our yogis embrace the challenge, overcome self-doubt, and discover just how capable they really are. 💚

✨ When you change your perspective, you change what is possible.

🐦 Finding Flight in Bakasana 🐦

There is something magical about the moment your feet leave the floor for the first time.

Bakasana (Crow Pose) isn't just about arm strength. It's about trust. Trusting your body, your breath, and your ability to lean into the unknown.

Every yogi's crow looks a little different. Some fly high, some hover for a second, and some are still building the foundations. And that's exactly what yoga is about. Not perfection, but progress. Not the destination, but the journey.

We love seeing our Limber Lotus yogis challenge themselves, embrace the wobbles, laugh at the falls, and celebrate the victories, big and small.

✨ Sometimes growth begins when we're willing to shift our weight forward and believe we're capable of more than we think.

"The bird that dares to leave the branch discovers the sky."

💚 Well done, yogis. Keep flying.

Friday Fun Facts: The Diaphragm 💛

1️⃣ It's the roof of your core. The diaphragm forms the top of your "core canister," working with your pelvic floor (the bottom) and your abdominal and back muscles (the walls) to create a pressurised cylinder that supports your spine.

2️⃣ Every breath builds pressure that supports your spine. As you inhale, the diaphragm drops down and increases intra-abdominal pressure — like a ball inside your belly pressing back against your spine to help hold it steady.

3️⃣ It's a dual-purpose muscle. The diaphragm's main job is pulling air into your lungs, but at the same time it's actively stabilising your posture and spine — breathing and core stability happen together, every single breath.

4️⃣ Bad breathing habits can cause back pain. Dysfunctional breathing patterns are strongly linked to low back pain — in some studies, an even stronger predictor than other well-known risk factors.

5️⃣ It's in constant sync with your pelvic floor. As the diaphragm descends with each inhale, the pelvic floor responds by increasing its own tone to match the pressure — literally the top and bottom of your core working together, thousands of times a day.

You breathe roughly 20,000 times a day — which means your diaphragm is training (or undermining) your core constantly, whether you're thinking about it or not. Our Core Challenge starts right here: with how you breathe.

✨✨The Challenge starts Monday! Will you be joining us?✨✨

🙃 Life Looks Better Upside Down! 🙃

At Limber Lotus Yoga Studio, we absolutely LOVE going upside down! 💛

Once we've found our balance in Sirsasana (Headstand), the fun really begins. Why stop at one shape when there are so many ways to play?

From:
✨ Legs in a straddle
✨ Tucked into a ball
✨ One leg reaching to the sky
✨ Scorpion variations
✨ Headstands in a chair
✨ Headstands against the wall
✨ And all the creative shapes in between!

Every variation challenges us in a different way while reminding us that yoga can be both focused and fun.

Exploring Sirsasana variations helps us:
🌿 Build strength and stability
🌿 Improve balance and body awareness
🌿 Increase focus and confidence
🌿 Develop patience, courage, and trust
🌿 See the world from a completely different perspective

The best part? It's not about having the "perfect" headstand. It's about being willing to explore, laugh, wobble, discover, and celebrate what your body can do.

At Limber Lotus, we believe yoga should challenge you, inspire you, and sometimes leave you smiling because you've just spent a few minutes looking at life upside down.

After all, sometimes a change in perspective is exactly what we need. ✨

🧘‍♀️ So whether you're balancing at the wall, exploring a new variation, or simply dreaming of getting both feet off the ground one day—you're already part of the adventure.

Come play with us on the mat and discover the joy of turning your world upside down.

✨ "When you change your perspective, everything changes." ✨
