MEC for Health and Wellness, Faith Mazibuko, together with the Acting Head of Department and Senior Management of the Gauteng Department of Health, has concluded a strategic meeting with MMCs responsible for Health and Wellness across Gauteng municipalities. The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration, improve service delivery, and ensure access to quality healthcare services for all residents.

Amongst other critical health priorities, discussions focused on improving child immunisation coverage, strengthening HIV and TB treatment adherence, enhancing ambulance dispatch and emergency medical services, expanding the rollout of Lenacapavir by increasing the number of service sites, and advancing the phased provincialisation of municipal clinics to improve the integration, efficiency, and accessibility of healthcare services across the province.
