Smile You're Dead We're an amateur Speedball team working our way through the SARPL divison by division.

We're a group of friends who've come together to share our passion for the sport of paintball. We're currently on the hunt for sponsorships and are looking at getting more involved in the South African Paintball Community.

Well done to Steve for Sunday! His first appearance since SuperCup in a day that we would rather forget. Lots of fun though, thanks to Paul for the organisation, Blades and Triggers for the field and all the teams for a great day.

Sweetspot 2014 proved to be an awesome event in it's own right, with some strong play by SYD winning four, losing four and placing sixth overall. A big thanks to BNT and the Sweetspot organisers and an even bigger thanks to Mike, Cheyne, James and Marc for some of the strongest play we've seen all season. Looking forward to SARPL next weekend!

SYD is geared up and ready for the SARPL SuperCup at Gariep Dam.
With the help of Warren Stroebel, we will even be sporting a brand new (and hopefully intimidating) new look.

On the weekend, S.Y.D competed in its first 5-man speedball event.

There was a lot of hesitation and concern going into this event, with issues around cost and the level of opposition.
It all went better than expected.

We'd just like to thank Paul Grobler, Paintball City and all the other teams for Saturdays event. It was easily one of the best days of paintball we've ever had.

Lastly I just want to thank the SYD members for their commitment, and congratulate them on a fantastic showing on the day- reaching the quarter finals and placing 7th. I'm not sure anyone expected us to do as well as we did and I'm sure we raised a few eyebrows.

You guys rock.

Done. SYD is registered for it's first Division 4 - 5 Man happening on the 6th of April.

A big thank you to both our teams for Sunday's tournament.

Hopefully the strong opposition we faced will serve as a wakeup call for future practice and tournaments. All in all though, there's no such thing as a bad day paintballing!

We'd also like to extend our thanks to Nova Paintball, Danie Coetzee Photography, Paul Grobler and the SARPL as well as all the other competing teams.

Might not be playing (cos we're super cheap like that) but SYD will be heading to watch the 5 mans this weekend at Pbcity. Lookin forward to some mad speedball!
