June 2018, 5 youngsters from rural Wemmershoek in the Cape Winelands had an idea, a dream that would ultimately today be known as Wemmershoek Cricket Club. Through determination and perseverance that idea finally turned into a dream reality once they got accepted into the Boland Cricket Union South League.

What a day for the batsmen's! Unfortunately our boys came out short defending their total of 286 runs, Excelsior Cricket Club claiming the victory of 4 wickets in hand.

However credit needs to be given to the team for their effort today and what a special moment wasn't it for our 4 youngsters making their first team debut* today. Go well team๐Ÿ’š

Ladies and gentlemen..

Your 2022 FSL Finalist.. LA MOTTE REBELS!!!!

Well done to the men from Bosbou La-Motte for securing their first win over the reigning Champions, Caribbean Kings. It was an absolute clinicial bowling effort by the Rebels, see you on 18th December for your maiden FSL final!!!

Our second match saw Wemmershoek Knights against Static Sunrises. It started horrific for the men from Wemmershoek, wickets fell in succession and a final score of 88 all out was all the Knights could produce. In reply, the men from Wemmershoek produced what was arguably one of the best come backs in FSL history, the Knights bowling unit ripped through Static batting and in the process secured a 7 runs win.

Next week: Caribbean Kings vs Wemmershoek Knights for a chance to face La Motte Rebels in the FSL 2022 Final!!
