Franschhoek parkrun

Franschhoek parkrun Join us for a free, timed 5km run/walk at 08:00 every Saturday. Find us at Rickety Bridge, Franschhoek Main Road (R45). Rain or shine, we parkrun!

Franschhoek parkrun is family, pram and dog friendly. Please keep your dog on a leash - and one dog per human. parkrun is open to everyone, from beginners to Olympians, from walkers to runners. You set your own pace, as you fly or meander through the vines and surrounded by the stunning Franschhoek scenery. If you are registered with parkrun and have your barcode with you at the parkrun - you will receive your time and a bunch of stats for your own interest and benefit. After your walk/run the kids play in the play area or you can have a cup of coffee and a breakfast at the scrumptious Paulina's restaurant. Rickety Bridge is less than 3km from the centre of Franschhoek. Parking is limited, so if possible, please walk, cycle or carpool to the parkrun.

The Franschhoek parkrun, a non-profit community-based activity, is looking for a new venue for our Saturday morning 5km run/ walk. Are there any properties in Franschhoek that would consider hosting us each week?

The trail could be two loops of 2,5km depending on the size of the farm. We do all the organising and planning.

Unfortunately, we are still Event Paused, and presently it will be for the next three Saturdays including tomorrow.
Our suggestion would be Paarl parkrun in their lovely Arboretum, alongside the Berg River - overlooked by the magnificent Paarl Rock's formation.

Our Event at Rickety Bridge Estate is still Paused, for this Saturday 2nd August and next Saturday 9th August.
Our closest parkrun venues are Paarl parkrun and Kleinevalleij parkrun in Wellington and both highly recommended with superb courses and mountain views.

We are still on 'pause' and no parkrun this Saturday 19th July.Our closest parkrun and recommended one is Paarl parkrun.

Our Franschhoek parkrun is 'on hold' - postponed temporarily - due to winter maintenance and upkeep at present, and once ready we will resume.
Please note that Rickety Bridge is still operational, even though they may have some of their areas temporarily closed over the quieter winter period - so at present this will only affect our parkrun route.
