Slievyre Game Farm Private Game Reserve The camp sits in over one hectare of fenced mature lawned gardens and consists of five traditionally built stone and thatch chalets.

Set in the beautiful bushveld of the Natal Midlands, 10kms from Estcourt and the N3; Slievyre - A private nature reserve provides the perfect place for family reunions, quiet holidays, romantic getaways or just an overnight stop. The camp comfortably sleeps twenty four people and extra beds can be arranged if required. Three of the chalets are

twin/double, one sleeps three people with the fifth being a eight bed family chalet. All have private/en-suite bathrooms and the kitchens are equipped with all self-catering facilities. Catered options are available if you prefer. Our meals are home cooked and we try to use as many homegrown ingredients as possible. Fresh bedding and towels are provided for every guest and the chalets are cleaned daily. Two lapa’s adjoin the chalets, both have tables and chairs and built-in braai fires, they are cleaned daily and the firewood is restocked

Slievyre extends to 2 000ha (5000 acres) and is classified as bushveld. Whilst out walking or driving on the farm, animals you will encounter include Giraffe, Eland, Kudu, Waterbuck, Zebra, Wildebeest & numerous smaller antelope. The farm is also home to more than 200 species of birds. Guests are welcome to fish free of charge, just bring your tackle! All residential guests are welcome to join us for a game drive or sundowner. On Slievyre:

Rates are from R375per adult p/n, R150 for children aged 4-12 years and children under 4 years in own cot are free. Groups of 14 adults or more get exclusive use of the camp and its facilities (18 at Christmas, New Year & Easter)

The campsite is nestled amongst the acacia trees that border a small dam. The campsite has rustic ablutions with hot water shower and toilet, bbq stands, a fire pit and an undercover eating area overlooking the water. There is also a small jetty for the fishermen or just to walk out on and enjoy the surroundings.
