Wednesday tip - secret sauce 🤫 what is the secret sauce to getting faster? How is it possible that some guys are faster than others? The secret sauce is just being comfortable with the bike, the track and trusting your riding and judgement while riding. Being comfortable at fast speeds and having a bike you’re comfortable riding with at these speeds helps you to get in and out of corners faster, scrub the jumps and hit the straights a lot faster. Work on yourself to be fit and strong as well as your mind but also play with the bike settings to see what can be done to improve its agility to handle faster speeds.

Come train with Tyron at JMXC to get faster , comfortably.

Cohen Du Toit takes on his first MSA race today as the NR MX racing season kicks off for the year. It’s time to get the real racing started here in South Africa.
Come out to Terra Topia at northern farms to watch it all unfold.

All the while the MSA race kicks off, a special mention to Neo Sanders as he raced his first Inland race of the year and finished the day with his best finish in 6th place. Neo is only getting stronger aboard his Husqvarna 250-F MX bike.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all. We look forward to a bigger and stronger 2025 season of training and racing and cannot wait for our riders to get back behind the gate racing!

JMXC Wednesday tip- happy and comfortable- if you go on the line and you’re not happy or don’t feel comfortable about something, your riding/ race will probably not be on par for the day. It’s so important for a rider to be happy and feel comfortable. Even from the gate right down to the finish. That means having your start gate right, ensuring your bike is working well and it’s on a race level and not just a normal days riding level so that it can work for you around the track. Sometime riders/ racers sing to themselves to keep their mind off the stress of the race and it helps you feel lighter. A happy song in your head can make a difference. However, in saying the above you as a rider can make the changes. If you don’t get a good gate pick, you can still make it work for you in the race. Come train with JMXC to learn more.

We would like to wish all our riders and followers a happy new year for 2024. If you ride for fun or are racing, remember that every time you throw your leg over the bike is a chance to improve your skills and abilities to become the best you can be.
The Supercross 2024 season starts this weekend, while locally the Womza and MSA races are just around the corner, so it’s time to put in some hard work and training.

Neo Sanders has made his statement at the last round of the Womza Inland mx championship race which was held at Dirt Bronco by finishing 4th in heat 2 just behind some of the top MSA riders. As Neo has grown and moved quickly up in the 125 class, it’s time to hand over the 125 series to the younger riders as he moves up to the MX2 class aboard a 250-F.

Tyron is looking forward to helping Neo get into and find his rhythm on the 250-F and growing on this bike and moving forward quickly into the front of the class.

On another note, we have brought on a new rider to help him with taking on the 125cc Womza Inland championship series for 2024.

This weekend marks the last race for the Womza Inland series and our rider Neo Sanders. Neo has been riding hard all year, but struggled a bit in the beginning to find his feet. However, as he has grown more into his fitness and strength and has become stronger in his riding throughout the year, Neo is now 2nd in the Womza Inland series in the 125cc class, being 25 points behind the leader, it can still be anyone's race.

We look forward to a strong finish and year end with Neo and wish him all the best for his final race of 2023.

JMXC Wednesday tip - competition - competition makes us fast. The faster the competition the faster you become if you’re willing to push yourself to train and ride to want to become faster than your competitors. The reason why riders are so fast overseas is because there are a lot more faster riders to push to beat. Where every second counts, it makes it more challenging to tackle and beat the next rider. Love your competition and appreciate them because they make you faster and stronger as a rider.

JMXC Wednesday tip- in it to win it- we haven’t posted in a while, but we are still training and helping our riders to be in it to win it. What does this actually mean?
For the rider who is new to the racing scene and enters a lower skilled class for example might think that winning is far in between. However, this rider actually has nothing to lose compare to a rider who has been racing longer and has more pressure to do well. Therefore the rider who has nothing to lose can be in it to win it as the feel relieved from the pressure and can give it their all.

And for the rider who has been racing for a lengthy time and possibly has championships will feel the pressure and will be in it to win it and will probably do whatever they can to do so.

Can you see that regardless of where you are or what you think your skills may be, always be in it to win it. Of course have fun racing. But if you’re racing, there is a reason for it. To challenge yourself to win a race.

Give it your all and don’t give up.

The first round of the MSA northern regionals is being held at the Phakisa Motocross track in Welkom tomorrow and our riders are excited to get into the first race. We have 2 riders in the mx high school class:

Neo Sanders aboard his Husqvarna 125cc

Emmanuel Bako returns aboard his KTM 125cc

Good luck to our riders. It’s going to be a good one with a packed class.
