We recently received a message from Norwegian paddler Amund Vold, who had the chance to put the ChalupSki Molokai through its paces, clocking 3:15 over 1km. And according to Coach Oscar Chalupsky: “That is seriously fast!”

But there's far more to Amund's story than speed.

In 2019, at 21 years old, Amund was diagnosed with leukemia, putting his paddling career on hold while he underwent treatment. His journey back to international competition has been remarkable, culminating in an emotional K1 5000m World Cup gold in Szeged in May 2025, his first World Cup gold since his diagnosis.

An incredible paddler and an even more impressive story of determination and resilience.

A special first for ChalupSki in Europe. 🌍🌊

Our first ChalupSki International Dealer Conference is underway in the Netherlands, bringing together dealers from across Europe, as well as our USA distributor, for two days of paddling, product testing, discussion and sharing ideas for the future.

A huge thank you to Kanocentrum arjan bloem for hosting us. Oscar’s friendship with the Bloem family goes back many years, making it particularly special that this first European gathering is taking place here.

Oscar had planned to be in Amsterdam himself, but unfortunately a serious bacterial infection has resulted in him being treated in ICU in Cape Town. He is deeply disappointed not to be there, but is very much there in spirit as the ChalupSki team and dealer network come together.

In his absence, his brother Walter Chalupsky and Cohen Tsui from Peishengboat are representing ChalupSki, spending time with our dealers, sharing the thinking behind the range and, most importantly, getting everyone out on the water to test the skis and paddles for themselves.

To everyone who has sent messages and asked after Oscar, thank you. Your support means an enormous amount to him and the family.

For now, the ChalupSki family keeps moving forward, and we wish our dealers a fantastic couple of days in Amsterdam.

No Retreat, No Surrender.

Named after Maui to Molokai, the legendary Hawaiian downwind channel crossing, the M2M is all about sharing the experience of being on the water.

A fantastic morning on the water with the Western Cape paddling community.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us at the Still Bay Paddling Club for Coach Oscar Chalupsky ‘s ChalupSki clinic.

It was great to see paddlers coming together to share ideas, ask questions, pick up a few tips and, most importantly, talk about the sport we love!!
