ROCKING-A RIDING SCHOOL is a platform for beginners and non-competitive individuals, in a safe and comfortable environment, and shows a gentle path into the world of the horse. Our lessons offer the variety of learning to ride in the walk, trot, and canter as well as teaching the basics of groundwork. Groundwork is one of the most important and essential aspects of being a horseman, as it fosters
a relationship, creates trust (between horse and rider), and teaches the student to use all senses in the body. The lessons focus on concentration, balance, core strength, learning to feel the horse under the saddle, and communicate instructions gently to the horses’ body. We also believe that taking care of the horse is essential to being a horseman. Therefore, in the first few lessons, we show correct grooming, how to tack up and teach about the overall welfare of the horse. Once this is mastered, the student should be confident enough to take on these tasks, and create their own routine with their assigned horse before their lesson. Our horses are gentle, loving and always looking for a connection. They enjoy treats and all the love you can bring. Our Instructors are motivated and passionate about their students and horses.
