Kaapjag - Cape Hunt Kaapjag enables responsible hunting for its members and promotes the knowledge & love of wildlife.

OUR ASSOCIATION’S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE RESPONSIBLE HUNTING, SPORT SHOOTING AND CONSERVATION OF WILD ANIMALS AND WILD PLACES. The Cape Hunters and Game Conservation Association (KAAPJAG) was established during 1984 by a group of hunters who were concerned about the preservation of game and the access to hunting places. Since then, the association has grown to become home to more than 3 600 hunters

and sport shooters. In terms of the Fi****ms Control Act No 60 of 2000, The Cape Hunters and Game Conservation Association is accredited as a hunting and sport shooting association and may certify dedicated hunters and sport shooters.

Healthy land is the foundation of healthy ecosystems. Drought, soil degradation and poor land management can place enormous pressure on habitats, wildlife populations and the communities that depend on them.

This day reminds us of the importance of responsible land stewardship, habitat conservation and sustainable management practices that help build resilience in our natural environment.

🎯 Dedicated Sport Shooter Status: What Members Need to Know 🎯

To maintain your Dedicated Sport Shooter Status, members must participate in at least two official sport shooting events per year and remain a member in good standing.

These may include official Kaapjag sport shooting events, as well as recognised events hosted by other accredited sport shooting associations. Please remember that proof of participation must be kept by the member.

📌 Hunters Portal Reminder:
Participation in Kaapjag’s sport shooting events must be uploaded to your activities on your Hunters Portal profile.
