Back in Mitchell’s Plain today… where it all started for me.

Spent some time with the guys around the table, sharing some knowledge on the new Ultimate Pool rules, having a few games, and enjoying the game we all love.

There is something special about Mitchell’s Plain. I honestly believe we’ve got championship veins running through us. 🏆

Let’s be honest… Mitchell’s Plain might as well be the pool capital of Cape Town 😂🎱.

After what feels like forever, I’m back on the road again! The bag is packed and the mission is simple…

Cape Town ➡️ George.
Walk into a town, find their best players, and see if they can survive the BITE. 😎🤔

To be honest, I’m coming in rusty. Life has been life, I haven’t had the table time I normally want, and I’m even arriving with a broken finger. 😂

But here’s the problem for George…

🐆 I AM IMMUNE TO POISON… ⚫️🎱🤞

Firstly, my apologies for the silence lately. I know I’ve been a little quiet, and I truly appreciate everyone who has continued to support and for checking in.

The last few months haven’t gone according to plan, with circumstances outside of my control affecting my preparation and time at the table.

A massive thank you to Jerico Lottering, AKA “Mr Greatness”, all the way from George, for making this happen and sponsoring this R5 000 match towards both Darren and my journey to the Blackball World Championships in London this October.

A special thank you also to Mr Moodley from Miday Brands for allowing us to host this match at Miday Ultimate Pool Centre and for continuing to support Me and the sport.

It would have been special to play this match wearing the "Keep Pushing t-shirts", but unfortunately they are still in production. To everyone who has placed an order, thank you so much for the support. Your shirts are being worked on and will be ready towards the end of this month.

I’ll also be stepping into this battle with a broken finger, but when people believe in you and create opportunities like this, you show up and give everything you have nonetheless.

Darren and I have some history. Last year he defeated me in the quarterfinals of the South African Championships. This year, I returned the favour in the same round and went on to become South African Champion.

So now we sit at 1-1 in official battles… and the next chapter is about to be written. 📖🔥

There is no doubt that Darren is one of the best players in the country right now. He has been active, competing regularly, and playing at a very high level, while my journey has looked a little different since the 2 Massive Titles that I'm Grateful for..

Darren, travel safely to Cape Town. I wish you all the best with your matches in the Mother City and look forward to another great battle.

Right... so here's the situation... 😅

British Airways still hasn't accepted "African Champion" as a valid payment method. 🤷🏽‍♂️🏆

I tried telling them...

"But I'm the South African Champion AND the African Champion!"

They said...

"That's amazing, sir... You still need to pay." 😂😂

Blackball South Africa has helped me tremendously but I believe we can together cover the little shortfall 😜

I'm always honoured to represent South Africa and making you all proud is my no1 priority, and then teaching the British some Xhosa and Afrikaans is next On the list. 📋
