AfroGames Sports & Cultural event promoting the rights of LGBTQ+ I individuals in Africa by celebrating diversity & encouraging respect & acceptance.

The first ever AfroGames 2018 will be coming to Durban in 9-14 December 2018, celebrating diversity and instilling Pride under the African LGBTI community through the use of Sport and Cultural events. In line with the Federation of Gay Games, the mission of the AfroGames 2018 Local Organising Committee is to promote equality, acceptance and pride through the organisation of a premiere African LGBT

I+ and gay-friendly sports and cultural event known as the AfroGames 2018. Although the AfroGames 2018 LOC is proudly South African, we advocate and promote LGBTI rights across the entire African continent with our core values enshrined on principles of mutual respect, non-discrimination, equality, diversity, acceptance, participation, inclusion and personal achievement. Across the African continent, proud and out LGBTI athletes are encouraged to compete but these sport and cultural events will be open to all regardless of sexual orientation in light of promoting equality, understanding, non-discrimination, tolerance, acceptance and self-worth.

15 years ago the Leadership and members of KwaZulu-Natal LGBT Recreation aka KZN LGBT Recreation (Founder of AfroGames🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️) participated in ECR Big Walk and won some incentives😀.
