My son, Cole (16), has been selected to represent South Africa 🇿🇦 at the Africa Aquatics Junior Swimming Championships in Algeria (05–10 May 2026).
In December, he represented SA in Angola and came home with 4 GOLD medals, earning the title of Junior African Champion in both the 50m and 100m Breaststroke. More recently, at just 16, he competed at Senior Nationals—ranking 11th and 14th in South Africa in his events. We are incredibly proud of him.
As a family, we are finding it increasingly difficult to fund Cole’s swimming journey, with multiple competitions each year, including international tours.
We’ve started a BackaBuddy campaign to help raise R40,000 to cover his upcoming tour to Algeria.
