Hi All, after much deliberation we have had to make the tough decision to postpone Race # 4 on Sunday 21st June!!
There is a fairly brisk North Easterly wind predicted to come through at lunchtime on Saturday and will blow through Sunday which will make conditions unfavorable to swim in as well as the probable appearance of Blue Bottles. Many swimmers travel from long distances and it was felt it better to inform everyone earlier.
All entries will be credited to any of the remaining swim’s including the back up dates.
Apologies for the inconvenience, but as you are aware safety of our swimmers is of upmost importance.

Congratulations to the 22 new Dolphin Milers who completed their 1st Dolphin Mile (1,6km or 3,2km) at Race # 3 that took place on the 17th of May 2026!!!
We hope your 1st Dolphin Mile experience was enjoyable and we look forward to seeing you at many more.

The next Dolphin Mile Swim Series Race # 4 takes place next Sunday 21st June at Marine Surf Lifesaving Club marine_slsc !!

All proceeds go to Breathe Conservation, so just by entering any of the four races – 800m, 1.6km, 3.2km or 5km – you will be contributing to a cleaner ocean.

The big day looms. There are just 10 days until the fifth annual Breathe World Ocean Day Swim sponsored by FNB on June 6 at Durban Beach Club.

Race # 3 takes place tomorrow morning Sunday 17th May. conditions are looking spectacular with weather & surf looking ideal for the swim!! Light wind with small surf conditions expected at Marine Surf Lifesaving Club!!

We have 800m, 1.6km & 3.2km distance races taking place.

Late entries will be taken on the day in the Marine Clubhouse!!

Registration: 05:30-06:30
Race Briefing: 06:45
Race Start: 07:00

Please note there is the East Coast Radio Big Walk taking place, this mainly effects the roads around the stadium precinct, we should be fine for the swim as we are on the beach before they start!! I do suggest to get down & register a bit earlier to beat the traffic as we would like to start at 7:00am!!
