RESPONSE TO THREATS

This morning, wanting to help a gecko out of the sink, he felt threatened rather than being helped.

He was prepared to sacrifice even a body part to survive.

A gecko’s tail loss serves a very good purpose for that!

The tail’s movements distracts the potential predator (me), and it allows the gecko to get away.

Leaving thus, he thought, the predator (me), with nothing but a wiggling tail.🥲

I still helped him though, but without any tail out of the window but he still tried to hide once outside.

I only hope that by closing the window I will not squash him in the process. So I left the window slightly opened so that other uninvited guests will not get in.

I love geckos though.❤️

Shame, what can we learn from that tragedy besides mind your own business, let it be, we cannot save everyone, any suggestions?

For me it was a great demonstration of courage and of survival!

Ps. I believe that another tail will take at least six months to one year to grow back.

J’ai déjà donné un cours au sommet du bâtiment et sur la plage sous les filaos.😎

I have already given a class on the roof top and on the beach under the casuarinas.😎

Mais je compte reprendre à donner des cours d’arts martiaux et de mise en forme qu’à partir de Janvier après les fêtes de fin d’année.🥋🤸💪

But I plan to resume teaching martial arts and fitness classes only from January after the end of year holidays.🥋🤸💪

What a great joy and an immense privilege to have known Stan Schmidt Sensei!

A Very Special Man and a Great Leader!

He was born on the 6 of October 1936.
And passed on the 7 of October 2019.

Here, on his last visit to Mauritius accompanied by his wife Judy.

They both stayed with my wife and I, and our children in Black River, and in the photo in one of our dojos in Curepipe after a training session.

You will always be remembered Stan Schmidt Sensei!

And my thoughts are with you Judy and your daughters today.🤗
