This is a question I hear far too often,
"Why do I need a personal trainer?"
Here is my reasoning behind this question.
A lot of people find themselves getting to the gym, not knowing what training they're doing that day. Once they've decided that they are doing arms or chest for 3rd time that week, they choose exercises based on how they feel and perform very few actual working sets.
This is the best way NOT to improve and see results.
It's also a great way to find yourself stuck in the same situation, facing the same problems, year in and year out.
This is why a qualified personal trainer is needed.
- We choose exercise with specific rep ranges and rest periods between sets that are in line with your goals.
- We create eating plans based on your goals and educate you on the importance of eating correctly and that you can enjoy it at the same time.
- We monitor your form during workouts to ensure you are performing certain exercises safely and effectively.
- We keep you accountable, motivated and push you past your limits day in and day out.
- We track your workout progress, body weight, body measurements and body fat percentage each month to see how we need to adjust your training and eating plan.
Here's a relative example that will make you reconsider.
If you want to build your new home,
would you build it yourself?
Would you skip all planning and just build it as you go?
Would you ask your friend who may have done a bit of handy work around the house for some advice?
I guarantee that the majority of people reading this would say "No."
So why do we treat our training and health like this?
