It is with sadness that we announce the death of our fellow badminton player and friend Reggie Khamal from Hillside badminton club who had a heart attack whilst playing at the Woodroffe tournament last night. Reggie also played at Asherville badminton club and for SANDF and always gave advice to the youngsters. We will miss you. RIP Reggie.

The Badminton 101 Sport clinic was a success today 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼..

Thank you to KZNBA and UKZN for enabling this platform towards the development of Badminton in the province. Thank you to our able coaches Emelda Botha and Ivan Botha for the facilitation and coaching. Thank you to all the players Pieter Vorster, Mikaeel Mirza, Kyle Pierpoint, Catherine Lafitte, Zaynab Sanusi, and Badru Abdulbaqi for all the support. So much gratitude to our supportive sport admin at UKZN, Roshnee, for the lunch and new rackets 🙏🏼😇.

Even Eskom’s load shedding could not stop the fun. We had to play outside and in the kitchen area for two hours. Thanks to all the participants who were patient and energetic throughout the clinic. Gratitude to the teachers from the school of special needs, we hope you spread the gospel amongst your students 😊😊.

We are looking forward to having a bigger group next year.. This is just the beginning 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼..
