17 years later… and we’re still helping beginners take the first step. 💪

When the studio opened in June 2009, Jiu-Jitsu wasn’t the trend it is today. There weren’t martial arts academies on every corner, and stepping onto the mats for the first time wasn’t as common as it is now.

Over the years, we’ve helped hundreds of people build confidence, develop resilience, improve their fitness, and discover what they’re truly capable of.

In January 2022, we launched our Beginner Class. The response was incredible, with many members taking their first steps on a journey that continues today.

Now, as we celebrate our 17th anniversary year, we’re opening the doors to a new intake of beginners on Monday and Wednesday at 6pm from the 1st of July.

Today, we celebrate an incredible milestone:
one year of dedication, and a brand new grey-white belt for this bright young warrior who just turned 7! Over the past 11 months, she’s shown up every week, with a heart full of courage. Even on the tough days, when there were tears, she stood tall, brushed herself off, and kept going. This is what Jiu-Jitsu is about: resilience, respect, and the belief that every fall is just a step toward a stronger rise.

At ARMA Academy, we believe that the heart of martial arts goes beyond just creating martial athletes.

We encourage our students to learn from every experience and grow both on and off the mats.
Our goal is to nurture not just skilled martial athletes, but also compassionate and responsible individuals who carry these lessons into their everyday lives as true martial artists.
