Gauteng Festival 2026

The Gauteng Festival took place from 12–16 June, and our club competed on 13 June, which was also our very first Tumbling competition. The introduction of Tumbling to our club was inspired by Jané van Zyl's passion and enthusiasm for the sport.

Results:
🥈 Lwandle-competed in the 9–10 years, Level 1-age group. Out of 13 participants,she achieved an excellent 7th place and received a silver Medal.

🥇 Jané van Zyl- competed in the 11–12 years, Level 1- age group. Out of 5 participants, she finished in 1st place and also received a special teddy bear.

A heartfelt thank you to the Gauteng Festival organisers for making the day extra special. From the wonderful gift bags to the teddies awarded to the gymnasts, every detail contributed to a memorable experience for our athletes.

Congratulations to Lwandle and Jané on their achievements. We are incredibly proud of you both and look forward to many more Tumbling successes in the future! 🎉🤸‍♀️🏅

The prize giving was successfully hosted and went very well. This was the prize giving that had been cancelled at the end of November 2025 due to the strike in Delmas.

A big thank you to Standard Bank for sponsoring the medals, and to Dhlamini for handing them out.
