POV: You arrive at the rally-raid pits feeling like a professional. 😎🏁

The vehicles are ready 🚗💨
The cameras are charged 📸
The team is motivated 💪

Then someone says:

🗣️ "Can you quickly put up the gazebo?"

Easy enough, right? 😏

Wrong. ❌

Within seconds I discovered that a folding gazebo is actually an advanced engineering project disguised as camping equipment. 🏕️🔧

One leg goes out. ✔️

The other leg goes in. ❌

You pull one side. 🤏

The other side collapses. 🤦

You lift it up. ⬆️

It folds itself back down. ⬇️

At one stage I was convinced the gazebo was fighting back. 😤😂

I've survived dust storms 🌫️, breakdowns 🔧, late nights 🌙, early mornings ☕ and rally-raid logistics 📋...

Yet somehow this gazebo nearly ended my motorsport career. 🫠🏁

Please be honest...

Through rocky sections, deep sand, high-speed straights and technical terrain, every kilometre has to be earned.

This is more than racing.

What a weekend at the Schweizer Reneke 300 hosted by the Vryburg Motor Club. 🏁🔥

With a demanding 50km qualifying loop followed by 3 tough 73km race loops, the weekend tested every crew with rocky sections, tight corners, deep sand and relentless conditions from start to finish.

Driver Andre Claassens and Navigator Annemerie Coetzee brought the P17 Class P BAT Spec 0 home with a strong result:

🥉 3rd in Class P
🏁 5th in the Special Vehicle category
🔥 19th Overall

A consistent and calculated drive through difficult terrain, keeping the pace where it mattered most. Huge credit to the entire team for the preparation, teamwork and reliability all weekend long.

Thank you to the organisers, marshals, sponsors and supporters who make weekends like this possible. On to the next one. 💪

🏁 PRODUCTION VEHICLE CATEGORY | SCHWEIZER-RENEKE 300 FINAL RESULTS

The Production Vehicle Category took punishment all day long. 🏁

Rocky sections, deep dust, technical terrain, and nonstop pressure pushed both man and machine to the limit at the Schweizer-Reneke 300. Through all the chaos, these crews kept their momentum alive and brought their vehicles home strong.

The final Production Vehicle Category podium standings were:

🥇 Theuns du Toit / James O’Mahony
🥈 Andre Geldenhuys / Kosie Geldenhuys
🥉 Danie Pretorius / Wessel Kriel

Massive respect to every team that battled through the conditions this weekend. 👏🔥

🏁 SPECIAL VEHICLE CATEGORY | SCHWEIZER-RENEKE 300 FINAL RESULTS

The dust was brutal. 🔥💨

At times visibility disappeared completely as the Special Vehicle Category charged through the Schweizer-Reneke route with cars appearing out of the dust at full speed. Close saves, commitment, and pure trust between driver and navigator kept these crews pushing forward all day long.

After an intense day of racing, the final podium standings were:

🥇 Lourens Booysen / Juvan Pretorius
🥈 Keith Makenete / Andrew Makenete
🥉 Dawid van Jaarsveld / Renè van Jaarsveld
