Heartfelt Condolences – Celebrating the Life of Carol
Dear Family, Friends, and the Softball Community,
With deep sadness and heavy hearts, we extend our sincere condolences on the passing of our dear Carol — a truly special soul who meant so much to so many of us.
Carol was not only a devoted mother, wife, foster mom, and aunt, but also a trusted friend, mentor, and leader within the softball family. Her service to the Western Cape Softball Association Schools, her role as a WCSA representative, and her involvement across numerous sporting bodies were marked by commitment, humility, and selflessness.
Carol was a pillar of strength. No matter the situation or her own personal circumstances, she was always willing to step in, help out, and support — often at the very last minute. You could always count on Carol. She never sought recognition, yet her presence brought reassurance and stability wherever she served.
She had a fearless heart when it came to defending her players, members, and anyone who needed a voice. Carol stood firm for what was right and was never afraid to speak up, protect, and advocate. She truly went the extra mile for everyone, and she did so with grace, kindness, and humility.
Her impact on Western Cape softball and South African softball as a whole is immeasurable. The lives she touched, the players she supported, and the administrators she guided are all part of her lasting legacy. She leaves behind a void that can not be filled, but also a standard of service that will continue to inspire us.
As we mourn her loss, we find comfort and hope in God’s Word:
“Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

May the Lord surround the family with His peace, strength, and comfort during this difficult time. May you find solace in knowing that Carol’s life was one of purpose, love, and lasting impact.
