A proper win too. The field was stacked, no easy games all day.

And a real shout-out to the Mowbray Bowls Club team. Greens, food, the run of the day. You could feel the hours behind it. That's how you host a proper day of bowls. See you again soon.

Best weight control at this club and it wasn't on the greens today.
The events committee put out a call for tablecloth hems. The machines answered. Straight lines, perfect length, first time.

Three WPCC ladies in the Ladies Open A. That's not nothing.

Claire Cowan, Elma Louw and Colleen Bryant on the top side for WP vs Boland. Michelle De Beer (Reynolds) joins in the B, Luke Ellis in the Men's B, and Les Ryan and Warren Hewitt are already through for the Vets side heading to 2027.

Seven names on selection lists inside a fortnight. Hats off to every one of them, and to every player picked across the province.
Worcester on 6 December. See you there. 💙🧡

🏅 The WP Men's Veterans side for the 2027 Inter Districts is out.

Two in WPCC blue: Les Ryan and Warren Hewitt. 💙🧡Alongside them, Kevin Smith (Durbanville Bowling Club), Carl Marshall (Constantia Bowling Club), Wally Brown (Old Oak Bowling Club), Nico Taljaard (Somerset West Bowls Club), and Junaid Alcock and Wilfred Hoyose from Glen Country Club.

Big well done to all eight men picked to represent WP. Bring on 2027.

The last hurdle before the WP Ladies squad for 2027 gets picked.

Thirty-three ladies made it through to the final round this weekend, plus three juniors invited for development.

Four of them ours: Claire Cowan, Colleen Bryant, Elma Louw and Michelle De Beer(Reynolds). 💙🧡

Huge congrats to every one of them, and to every club represented: Bellville, Bergvliet Bowls, Constantia Bowling Club, Durbanville Bowling Club, Edgemead Bowling Club, Gordons Bay Bowling Club, Old Oak Bowling Club, Plumstead Bowling Club, Somerset West, Goodwood Bowling club and us (WPCC).

Two days at Durbanville. Sat 22 and Sun 23 August, 9 to 5. Come down if you can.

The WP Ladies Selection Committee have invited the following players to Round 2 of the Ladies Inter District Trials for 2027. We wish you all good bowling on Saturday 22 & Sunday 23 August 2026 at Durbanville.

Every player selected, from Durbanville Bowling Club, Edgemead Bowling Club, Somerset West Bowling Club, Constantia Bowling Club, Mowbray Bowls Club, Old Oak Bowling Club and WPCC, massive congratulations. This is what a season's work looks like.
