Our very own club member, Magavishnu Nair is currently ranked 46th in the male category for the highest number of Comrades Marathon medals among runners taking to the 2026 Comrades Marathon start line.

Affectionately known to many as "Uncle Maga," he has an incredible 32 Comrades medals to his name. A remarkable achievement that reflects his dedication, perseverance and passion for the Ultimate Human Race.

Congratulations Uncle Maga on this outstanding milestone and for continuing to inspire us all!

Thank you to our 3 club members from left to right - Deno Pillay, Shaktiven Surjoo & Simmiean Dhanarajan for heading the ice distribution year after year.

This year the team distributed 1.85 tons of ice to every hydration station along the 10km, 25km and 52km route.

Hosting a race often leaves behind a trail of empty water sachets scattered across the roadway, even far beyond the hydration stations.

While the roads may reopen and the event appears to be over, our club member Prashan Chokalingam and his team from Stevesons Burglar Guards and Gates remain hard at work, ensuring that all empty sachets and litter are carefully collected and properly disposed of.
