This past Saturday (2 Nov) we had our second session of the Helm's workshop.

All aspirant helms got a chance at helming after onshore and alongside coaching.

A big thank you to and Idries for taking this on and facilitating the workshop.

Also thank you to the additional paddlers who came out to assist.

One of the CTDBA objectives this year is to train more helms.

In our first workshop facilitated by Greg Pearce and Idries Meyer, we learned about basic safety rules, how to secure your boat and how to use your sweep oar to steer the boat.

In our next training session, on 2 November, we will allow more training time on the water.
