Despite the tough conditions, Jonathan’s approach was simple yet highly effective. He created a subtle but attractive feeding signal by crumbing up Fruit-E Factor Boilies and combining them with a few whole boilies inside a PVA mesh bag, presented over a blowback rig (tied with IB Hooks Curve shank size 4) paired with a Fruit-E Factor Wafter.
The response was immediate. The tactic produced two hard-earned Common Carp within just a few hours, confirming the bait’s ability to trigger confident feeding even when conditions were far from ideal.
To further underline the strength of the Specimen 101 range, Jonathan’s second rod—fished on a Specimen 101 Protein Factor Wafter with a mix of crumbed Protein Factor boilies and Hobolife pellets—went on to produce the largest fish of the entire session, capping off a highly productive test.
