In this episode of The Cobra Channel, we meet the man behind the Finishtime system at Cape Cobra. Chris Goldschmidt has been deeply involved in South African running for decades and currently serves as Chairperson of the TTOM.

He’s also the man responsible for registration and making sure every runner at Cape Cobra gets across the finish line and into the results.

ALMOST RACE DAY. TIME TO FUEL UP🐍⏱️

The Cobra is excited to welcome Fuel First as our new Official Race Vendor.

Fuel First is stepping up to the start line and taking over the vendor nutrition space as we build towards Cape Cobra 2026.

Founded by Matt, Fuel First is an online endurance nutrition store built by a runner, for runners.

After one too many gels going to waste on race day, Matt set out to make fuelling a little simpler. Good products. Good advice. And someone on the other side who actually understands what it’s like to be out there on the trail.

Fuel First will be supporting the Cobra community through our upcoming recces, helping to fill the race packs and making sure runners have access to some great nutrition in the build-up to race day.

Cape Cobra entrants will also receive exclusive Fuel First discounts.

And then, of course, there’s race day.
