Battle Arena South Africa The club is for the promotion of modern sword fighting with emphasis on soft sword fighting to the youth.

Battle Arena SA is a sports club in Cape Town to promote the sport of HMB (Historical Medieval Battle) by means of youth exposure and integration to the sport from a young age. This exposure will be via HMB SOFT or sword fighting techniques with weapons consisting of foam and durable plastics. The club is located in Cape Town, South Africa and is managed by myself Fritz Mans. I have been involved

with the sport of HMB for the past 4 years and strive to compete at international level 2018. The sport in in South Africa is relatively young and consist of mostly adults competing which leaves us with a dilemma. We have no sufficient exposure of the sport to the youth to enable a continuous growth in the sport. Battle Arena will close this gap with the training of kids and teenagers, ages 5 to 17, to ensure growth in the sport and international presence.
