Did you know that high blood pressure (hypertension) is a global issue, affecting millions of people worldwide, regardless of age, gender, or geographic location. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), an estimated 1.13 billion people globally have high blood pressure. Unfortunately, many of these individuals are unaware they have the condition because high blood pressure often shows no symptoms.
In fact, high blood pressure is a major risk factor for heart disease, stroke, and kidney failure, making it a critical area of focus for public health efforts across the world. The same principles for managing and raising awareness about high blood pressure apply globally: early detection, regular monitoring, and lifestyle changes can significantly improve heart health and quality of life.
