If your child is happiest when they're around horses, we've got plenty to keep them busy these school holidays!

Littlies Riding Course (Ages 4–8) 📅 30 June – 2 July 🕘 09:00 – 11:30 A fun introduction to riding, pony care, games, and horsey activities designed especially for younger riders.

Own Your Own Horse 📅 30 June – 3 July (4 Days) 📅 14 – 16 July (3 Days) Perfect for more experienced riders wanting to spend dedicated time riding, caring for, and learning about their favourite horse.

July Riding Course (Ages 8+) 📅 14 – 16 July 🕣 08:30 – 12:00 A holiday favourite featuring riding lessons, outrides, stable activities, vaulting, games, and lots of horse time.

Private & Semi-Private Lessons 📅 30 June – 3 July 🕗 08:15 – 10:30 Available for beginners through to advanced riders on school horses or your own horse.

Adults Riding Morning 📅 4 July - A relaxed morning of riding, learning, and enjoying time at the stables with fellow adult riders.

Winter mornings might be chilly, but the horses don't seem to mind—and neither do the riders once they're in the saddle! 🐴

Who needs special effects when nature provides its own?

Today’s riders enjoyed lessons wrapped in a blanket of fog, turning an ordinary day at the yard into something that felt straight out of a storybook. Horses emerged from the mist, riders embraced the adventure, and for a few hours the world beyond the arena seemed to disappear.

Every confident rider starts somewhere.
Sometimes it begins with a gentle pat on a horse's neck, a nervous first lesson, or a child discovering that they're capable of far more than they imagined.

At The Riding Centre, we're passionate about giving young riders the opportunity to build confidence, learn responsibility, develop resilience, and chase big dreams—one ride at a time. The skills they learn here often reach far beyond the arena, helping them grow into capable, courageous young people.

Because today's pony cuddles, muddy feet, and wide-eyed excitement might just be the beginning of a lifelong journey.

If your child's idea of the perfect school holiday involves horses, fresh air, adventure, and making new friends, then our July Riding Course is calling their name.

From riding lessons and outrides to vaulting, gymkhana games, and plenty of hands-on horse time, every day is packed with learning, laughter, and confidence-building fun.

📅 14–16 July ⏰ 8:30am – 12:00pm
Ages 8 years and older

Whether they're new to riding or already horse-mad, this course is designed to help riders grow in confidence while creating memories they'll be talking about long after the holidays are over.

Places are limited and these courses always fill quickly, so don't wait too long to secure your spot.

We've got some exciting news to share with you all!

We’re incredibly honoured to have received the Best Family-Friendly Equestrian Centre in the Western Cape (2026) award from the African Excellence Awards.

What makes this especially special to us is that The Riding Centre has always been about more than riding lessons. It’s about family mornings spent at the stables, children growing in confidence, lifelong friendships, muddy boots, early starts, ponies who become part of the family, and creating a space where people genuinely feel they belong.

To every rider, parent, instructor, supporter, staff member, and horse who makes this place what it is — thank you. This community is the heart of everything we do.

Winter holidays are coming… and yes, we know convincing kids to leave a warm bed in winter deserves some kind of Olympic medal!

But somehow horses make cold mornings worth it.
Our June/July Holiday Programme is back, packed with riding, pony chaos, stable fun, fresh air, muddy boots, new friendships, and children returning home slightly frozen but very happy.

At The Riding Centre, we’re proud to offer lessons across a variety of riding disciplines, giving riders the opportunity to explore different paths within the equestrian world while building a strong foundation along the way. From First Lessons to the Show Ring

April took us to the beautiful Robberg Equestrian Park for an unforgettable show — and what a weekend it was!

With 15 horses representing our yard, every single rider stepped up and delivered something special. From confident rounds to proud personal bests, the results truly spoke for themselves.

What makes this even more meaningful? Many of these riders started right here in our riding school — learning the basics, building confidence, and forming friendships. To now see them competing as part of our incredible competitive team is something really special.

A huge thank you to our incredible coaches and grooms — the early mornings, late finishes, constant care, and dedication behind the scenes never go unnoticed. Our horses and riders simply couldn’t do it without you. 💛

We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of you. Your hard work, dedication, and love for your horses shines through in every ride.
