As per the rule before exercising - a good stretch is always important to activate the muscles so that no injuries may occur. I feel that indeed the same principle should apply for writing descriptions in that a prequel to the actual story is needed to provide some basic background into how my idea came to life. When first thinking about the concept of running a bootcamp, I thought what could I ba

se my bootcamp on without focusing entirely on the MAIN purpose which is obviously the usual fitness, weight loss etc... I then came up with the simple idea of FUN, and the concept of "time flies when you having fun". This has since become the constant factor when planning sessions, to make it as fun as possible while achieving the necessary outcomes - I mean who would want to be dragged through the dirt by a guy whistle and then at the same time still be miserable about it? The FUN factor is not only a random thought, but you can actually burn calories while laughing and having more fun actually increases and motivates you to self-motivate at the same time, so basically it's a win-win situation. And now onto the nitty-gritty, Breakaway Bootcamp started outdoors in November 2014 at Malta Park Sports Complex in Observatory (opposite The River Club) and now it's currently being run indoors at the Observatory Community Centre (opposite Spar). There are three sessions held weekly. The sessions are comprised of hour long fun-filled exercises that keep the individual challenged and on their toes throughout, by using High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) methods. The HIIT methods used include endurance training, conditioning, resistance training, cardiovascular training as well as flexibility. The equipment I make use of for each session is:
- Battle ropes
- Slamballs
- Sandbags
- Powerbands
- Skipping ropes
- Tyres
- Ladders
- Hurdles
- and of course you make use of your own body weight! If you looking to improve your fitness levels, lose weight, have more energy, feel better, relieve your stress or just improve your overall wellbeing? Then Breakaway Bootcamp is the answer! Training times and places:
Observatory Community Centre - Mondays from 7-8pm and Thursdays from 8-9pm. Somewhere outside - Saturdays from 7-8am

Prices:
Upfront monthly payment of R400, which includes 12 sessions, whereby you save R200! OR
