It’s the African Indoor Giants who continue to show the world what South Africa and Namibia are made of and the rising dominance of African women’s indoor hockey.

Namibia made history with a remarkable 6th place finish at the Indoor Hockey World Cup, while South Africa lifted the Nkosi Cup in 2025 by beating Australia 4-3.

We’re proud to see so many of these players representing their nations who have come through our PSi Hockey franchises.

Let’s keep backing Africa as they continue to compete, inspire and dominate on the world stage.

Nkosi Cup | History

Three editions in and the Blitz Stoks have completed an incredible three-peat at the Nkosi Cup.

In 2025, they faced the Oceania Champions, Australia, in a blockbuster final and the host nation delivered a statement performance, running out 10-4 winners to continue their dominance on home soil.

On the women’s side, it had been Namibia who ruled the competition for two consecutive years, but in 2025 the South Africa women’s indoor hockey team finally broke the deadlock.

Facing Australia in an exciting final, South Africa edged a spectacular contest 4-3 to be crowned Nkosi Cup champions for the very first time.

Nkosi Cup | History

Three years in, the Nkosi Cup has already carved out a special place in indoor hockey, bringing together teams from South Africa 🇿🇦, Australia 🇦🇺, New Zealand 🇳🇿, Namibia 🇳🇦, Ireland 🇮🇪, Zimbabwe 🇿🇼 and the USA 🇺🇸.

Across three editions, some of the world’s best have lit up the tournament, but one name has stood above the rest. Mustapha Cassiem has made history by claiming the Men’s Player of the Tournament award three years in a row. A remarkable achievement and a true mark of world-class consistency.

In the women’s competition, Kiana Cormack set the standard with back-to-back awards before Malikah Hamza claimed the honour in 2025.
