CTM 2026: The Marathon Wrap 🎽💙
Taking a look back at Sunday, May 24th, because a weekend this massive deserves to be celebrated all over again! The blue wave completely took over the marathon, and we are still buzzing with pride over the incredible depth, grit, and spirit shown by the whole squad.
We had an astounding turnout with more than 100 AACers crossing the finish line, proving once again what an incredible community we have. Up at the sharp end of the field, the pace was absolutely electric, including 8 phenomenal sub-3-hour finishes!
A massive shoutout to some of our standout performances from the day:
⚡ Joshua Chigome – Sprinted home at high speed in an incredible 2:31!
⚡ Melissa Laing – Emulated her Boston Marathon magic with another stellar sub-3 finish in 2:50!
⚡ Catrina Denker (55+) – Smashed her London Marathon time, clocking a brilliant 3:12!
Beyond the finish lines, a massive thank you to Coach and Falke SA for their incredible generosity in donating socks to our Development Team at the Expo. And, of course, the biggest thank you to our legendary Gazebo hosts—Maryna, Susan, and Jessica—for welcoming everyone home, keeping the vibes high, and creating the perfect space to share PBs, brilliant stories, and birthday celebrations. 🎂🥳
Whether you were chasing down a massive personal goal, fighting for every kilometer, or shouting from the sidelines, absolutely well done to everyone involved. You represent Team Blue with so much heart! 🏃♂️🏅
