Ready to crush your first (or next) 10km? 🏃‍♀️✨

Join us for 10 weeks of running mastery with and coach , in partnership with the Atlantic Athletic Club.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time to build a stable, steady, and lifelong love for running, this is your sign! We are training specifically for the iconic Gun Run 10km on September 12, 2026.

The best part? This program is completely FREE and open to everyone.

What to expect:

We start super slowly, gradually building your fitness and refining your technique. Our goal? To help you cover 10km with ease, joy, and—most importantly—without injury, so you’re race-day ready!

📍 Where: Mouille Point Lighthouse, Sea Point

🗓️ When: Mondays at 17:30, starting 13 July 2026

📱 Remote friendly: All technique lessons and support will be shared via WhatsApp, so you can join from anywhere!

CTM 2026: The Marathon Wrap 🎽💙

Taking a look back at Sunday, May 24th, because a weekend this massive deserves to be celebrated all over again! The blue wave completely took over the marathon, and we are still buzzing with pride over the incredible depth, grit, and spirit shown by the whole squad.

We had an astounding turnout with more than 100 AACers crossing the finish line, proving once again what an incredible community we have. Up at the sharp end of the field, the pace was absolutely electric, including 8 phenomenal sub-3-hour finishes!

A massive shoutout to some of our standout performances from the day:
⚡ Joshua Chigome – Sprinted home at high speed in an incredible 2:31!
⚡ Melissa Laing – Emulated her Boston Marathon magic with another stellar sub-3 finish in 2:50!
⚡ Catrina Denker (55+) – Smashed her London Marathon time, clocking a brilliant 3:12!

Beyond the finish lines, a massive thank you to Coach and Falke SA for their incredible generosity in donating socks to our Development Team at the Expo. And, of course, the biggest thank you to our legendary Gazebo hosts—Maryna, Susan, and Jessica—for welcoming everyone home, keeping the vibes high, and creating the perfect space to share PBs, brilliant stories, and birthday celebrations. 🎂🥳

Whether you were chasing down a massive personal goal, fighting for every kilometer, or shouting from the sidelines, absolutely well done to everyone involved. You represent Team Blue with so much heart! 🏃‍♂️🏅

Weekend Wrap (10km Peace Run)

What a weekend! The brought the speed, the energy, and the community, and we couldn't be prouder of every single AACer who laced up and gave it their all out there.

Whether you were chasing a personal best, taking on a new distance, or out there soaking up the atmosphere, seeing the sea of club blue crushing the roads was the absolute highlight. AAC never fails to bring the spirit and the suppport!

A special shoutout to our incredible 10km Peace Run Atheletes who were absolutely flying: 🥈 Ruby Read – 2nd Junior in 39:45 🥈 Anne Stewart – 2nd 50+

🌊 The Blue Wave Conquers the Ultra! 🎽💙

The Two Oceans 56km is the ultimate test of grit, and this Saturday, the Atlantic Athletic Club family showed up in force! From the nervous energy at the start to the legendary Blue Wave vibe at the support points, it was a day to remember.

🏆 Celebrating Our Podium & Silver Stars

While we cheer for every mile, a huge shoutout to those who secured top spots:

Joshua Chigome: Silver in 3:35 (3rd Western Province Athlete).

Neil Bekker(3:49) & David Long (3:53): Both bringing home Silver.

Dominique Cohen: 3rd Western Province Athlete in 4:13.

40-49 Ladies Team: 2nd Prize winners (Dominique Cohen, Ashleigh Hansen, Leanne Large, Rianda Gilliland).

🙌 Every Finisher, Every Mile

The real magic was in the 113 finishers who pushed through the doubts and the distance. Whether you were hunting a PB or just fighting to reach the finish line before the cut-off, your resilience is what defines this club. We are so proud of every single AACer who took on the 56km challenge! 👟💪

*Weekend Race Wrap* 🗣️Peninsula Marathon was as competitive as ever, with runners hoping for qualifying times. The sea of blue 🧢 at the start in Green Point was full of ambition, whether for a personal best, finishing without cramps, or simply completing the race. At 5:15am, the marathon began, chasing pavements from Green Point to Simons Town on a calm day with *no wind*. In Bergvliet, the half-marathon started at 7am.

There were 83 marathon and 24 half-marathon finishers, with several achieving Personal Bests. Two runners finished under three hours and new joiners and Dominique Cohen placed in the top ten. The marathon doubled as a WP Championship, earning *Joshua Chigome* bronze overall and bronze in the 50+ category.
In the 21km, *Catrina Denker* came third in the 50-plus age category.

Thanks to and who made the finish memorable with their hospitality, and who sourced the most delicious samosas.

Congratulations to all on your well-earned, very large medals. See you next week at Milkwood. 💙
