In December, life took an unexpected turn as we said our earthly farewell to someone we love dearly, a very close family member. We then had a major fire by our home which came so close that we could have lost everything, so my nervous system has been all over the place as we grieve and count our blessings.

Losing someone close and coming close to fire once again has brought me close to our immortality and that of everyone and everything around us. And as we face changes ahead, one of the questions that has been coming up is “Are you going to slowly die, or are you going to truly live?"

And truly living comes with holding it all, the pain and the beauty, the loss and the abundance, the grief and the courage to keep going... the fear and the deepest, most wonderous love.

As we move forward in these times of crumbling, may we hold each other tight. May we learn to dance in the flames, and have the courage to create a world that makes life worth truly living for everyone.

Something that has been sitting with me though is impact. As I transition into this next decade, I have been acknowledging again the different versions of me that I’ve been along the way, especially as people from different chapters reached out to me to wish me well.

We are not always aware of the impact we have on people, place, the land, the seen and the unseen. Whether that be good or bad, because let’s face it, we have all been the villain in some stories, no matter how good our intentions.

I’ve learned along the way to hold these versions and parts of me, some easily with love and compassion, others still with some shame and heartache.. and I honour them all for their place in my unfolding. And as I do that, I am constantly reminded to keep going, to continue sharing from my heart, from my lineage and being ok with it landing however it needs to land.

Some of the impact we make, we will never see the fruits of, we will never know how it rippled out, and we have to be ok with that. To keep showing up with courage, to continue to create regardless of whether it seems like it was noticed. This is where legacy is made, in knowing that each breath you take makes a difference, each loving act creates healing, each new idea brought into the world alters the fabric of reality.

Part of the reason I have been quieter over the past couple of years has been due to my health. I didn’t realise the extent to which my body had been run down during the years prior to having a burnout, then adding on the stress of healing (which is not always spoken about), having three pregnancies, the birth portal of 2 children who arrived by c-section, breastfeeding and starting a business… my body finally had enough and wanted to be heard.

The rumblings were there for a while, but the last pregnancy with my little Finn brought so much to the surface. I got gestational diabetes towards the end, and afterwards I just felt flat and exhausted to the point I was struggling to leave the house and became a real hermit. I also put on a lot of weight, and was experiencing the shame that goes along with that, especially as there is now a box and aesthetic that is flaunted for healers. I wanted to blame it on the broken sleep but knew it was deeper.

I finally found the right support and the results showed that I had really low cortisol. Apparently this can happen when you have been in a state of high cortisol for too long, that your brain instructs your adrenals to stop producing as much cortisol. Prolonged periods of too much cortisol can create a lot of damage to your memory and brain function. The other big find was insulin resistance, which was a tough one to swallow and I’m still working through the deeper emotional ancestral patterns linked to this, alongside taking both allopathic and natural medicines, and using my flower essences.

I wanted to share this as it has stopped me from showing up, I haven’t wanted to be seen or be on camera as much as I had been before. I have also had to rest a lot in between the work with my beautiful clients. My work energises me, I love my people, and it can also take a lot out of you holding space for others along with the duty you have to the unseen realms. This is the reality for many behind the glossy facade of what is presented of the healer and I feel that it can be really inauthentic to not also show the messier parts of what it takes to really heal yourself, your lineage and to hold others.

It’s wonderful to feel my strength slowly returning now, and I’m looking forward to doing more soon with new offerings that have been on my heart for some time. I also know I am really privileged to be able to do this work and have access to resources to heal this way. I sit between worlds on the land that I inhabit, and the deep friendships that I have been cultivating while I’ve been doing decolonisation work. I know there are so many out there with these symptoms and worse from the prolonged trauma that people of colour have experienced and are experiencing. More on this soon too.

There is a theme I’ve seen playing out for many people, especially healers, around the relationship to our voices

It’s not surprising as humanity and the Earth is being held in a stranglehold around the throat while we all have to grapple with what we stand for, what we consciously and unconsciously consent to, what makes us silent and what makes us roar.

So much of what our lineages experienced around the voice is coming to the surface too, as we see how much has been brushed under the carpet for millennia in the name of keeping the peace. However, it’s clear that this “peace” was a facade that has created a pattern so deep, that a loss for words has become the norm.

The word is creation, and we are being called to heal the words that have been hijacked, to reclaim their original meanings and frequencies, so we can create something new. To let go of hiding behind the words, and to wield them into new ways of being, relating and loving.

It’s time to choose if your voice will be used for the biggest wave of healing we have ever witnessed, or if it will add power to destruction, death and anti-life.

It’s time to choose who has control over your voice, and to take a stand for life, for love, for our humanity.

This is a question I have asked a lot in the last few years as I stepped into a very different life and embraced my role as a healer.

It cuts right through the “should do’s” and “should be’s” and allows you to listen to what your body and intuition are trying to tell you.

Asking the right questions can be really helpful to drown out the noise and hear your own inner wisdom. If you have been on a healing journey for a while, you can often want to get past the wounds that have been made to seem less significant. However healing what stops you from trusting yourself, and keeps you seeking outward validation, is some of the most important healing you will ever do.

New Age wants us to be seeking the highs and the fluff. However, as the world continues to become even more polarising, with conflicting advice and “knowledge” everywhere, remember, you know what to do.

Whether you are fully aware of it, or have been trying to push it away, we are all feeling on some level the anxiety and chaos of these times.

Especially if you are here, we are the sensitive ones, the ones who were told we are too emotional and feel too much, however this has always been your greatest gift and your gifts really are needed now more than ever.

So today I am practicing what I preach and sharing how we can work together during this season, sharing my offerings which are here support highly sensitive healers and cycle breakers in these times of great change.

As I advocate for working within the seasons and cycles of your own life and body, I am also doing that for myself by allowing my offerings to change with the seasons both internally and externally.

May you find something here that will be balm for your spirit. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

10 years ago, I moved back to South Africa, after a gap year turned into 11 years away.

There was a call inside for years to move home to the lands that birthed me. Here is part of my story of coming back and going through an awakening. This is not about everything I’ve “achieved”, but more importantly about who I have become.

It is also about stating what has been obvious to me for a while, but not so obvious to others. I’ve spoken around it, tried to avoid it, focused on other projects, even became a hermit for a while.. however you can’t avoid your calling.. and mine is to hold space for healers so they can also heal, and step into their destiny… it’s time to get to work, it’s time for us to create a legacy of love.

Solstice blessings to all. As we celebrate the Summer Solstice here on the southern tip of Africa, it felt like a good time to share something I’ve been working on for some time now.

Working is not really the right word, as it’s felt more like play, with a bit of magic, and a lot of discomfort too. Being overly serious, linear and knowing what comes next is deeply conditioned in most of us, that we miss out on the gifts waiting to be reclaimed just underneath that.

So here I am, announcing that the Blue Bottle Apothecary is coming soon, we have 5 beautiful flower essences ready to share with all of you and will grow the collection from there. These are very special flowers which are growing here near Cape Point in Cape Town which is the root of the magnificent Mountain range. I can’t wait to share their healing magic with you.

Also a big thank you to Liz from for hand drawing the plants and designing the labels. So grateful for everything we have co-created together over the years.
