As we prepare for the Boland Regional Trial, we're introducing a IN & OUT ring entry system to help improve the flow of handlers and dogs moving to and from the rings.🔃
The accompanying ring layout illustrates the designated entry and exit points, along with the start and finish positions for each ring.
Our aim is to create a smoother, more organised environment, ensuring that handlers and dogs have:
Easy and unobstructed access to each start line.
Enough space to prepare and enter the rings comfortably.
A clear exit route after completing their runs, helping to minimise congestion around the rings.
A few things to make the transition easier:
We will have helpers available to assist with moving handlers' and dogs' belongings from the start to the finish area, so you won't need to worry about carrying everything across yourself.
Spare Excel leads will be available at each finish line for handlers to use if they need to quickly put their dogs on lead as they exit the ring.
For handlers running multiple dogs:
We do acknowledge that this arrangement may mean a slightly longer walk back to the start line when returning with your next dog. We understand this and have briefed our judges to be accommodating and allow for flexibility where needed.
These changes are intended to make ring movement safer, easier and more efficient for everyone, while giving our dogs and handlers the space they need.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation and for helping us make the Boland Regional Trial a fantastic and safe weekend of agility! ❤️
