Own Your Own Horse Camp – Day 2 🐴✨

The kids had so much fun today!

Today’s theme was Show Day Preparation,giving everyone a taste of what it’s’s like to get your own horse ready for a competition.

We started by giving all the tack a deep clean until it was sparkling. Then the kids learnt how to plait manes and braid tails, making sure their horses were turned out to competition standard.

Then came the highlight of the day... 🏅

Every single child got to ride their very own dressage test—something that was a first for many of them! They were each scored on official dressage score sheets, making the experience feel just like a real competition. It was amazing to see how proud they were, and they all did so well!

We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings for Day 3! 💙🐎

Day 1 of the KRES Own Your Own Horse Camp was a huge success! 💙

We started the day with some stable cleaning before the kids got to rake the arenas using the quad bike—a definite highlight! They then set up their own pole exercise, and to make it even more fun, we added a little twist by having the kids become each other’s instructors. They absolutely loved stepping into the coach’s role!

In between all the learning, we had a surprise little buck visitor, watched Magnum and Rama having a play, and made plenty of fun memories along the way.

What a fantastic first day—we can’t wait to see what Days 2 and 3 have in store! 🐴✨💙
