One day, you’re standing at the side of the pool while they ask you to watch every splash.
And then, suddenly… they’re swimming all on their own. 🥹
Somewhere between the nervous first lessons, the countless “Watch me!” moments, and the occasional “I don’t want to go swimming today!”, something changes.
They become more confident.
They try things without asking first.
They stop looking back quite so often.
And before you know it, they’re swimming off while you’re standing on the side wondering:
“Wait… when did you learn to do THAT?!” 😂
That’s one of the beautiful things about watching children grow. It rarely happens all at once. The little changes can be so gradual that you don’t always notice them—until suddenly, one day, you do.
As we move into spring, we’re reminded that growth has a way of surprising us. 🌱
One day, they’re holding onto the wall.
And then, suddenly… they’re swimming. 💙
