Curro Aquatics proudly celebrates the outstanding achievements of our swimmers at the Africa Aquatics Zone IV and African Open Water Championships held in Mauritius from 6โ€“7 June 2026. ๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ๐ŸŠ

Representing South Africa, Julie Olivier, Madison Thirsk, and Savannah Thirsk competed against athletes from 14 African nations, with Coach Amy Pentz serving on the national coaching team.

What a memorable evening as we celebrated the dedication, perseverance, and achievements of our swimmers during the 2025/26 season.

The ceremony provided an opportunity to recognise the incredible accomplishments of our athletes who represented Curro Aquatics at Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Regional Championships, Junior Nationals, Youth Nationals, as well as Senior and Open Water Nationals.

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Simon Thirsk, retired South African swimmer, for sharing his inspiring journey and valuable insights with our swimmers and families.

Throughout the evening, each Curro Aquatics hub proudly acknowledged swimmers who embodied the values of hard work, commitment, and team spirit through the presentation of the following special awards:

We are incredibly proud to announce that Amy has been selected to represent South Africa as one of the coaches at the Africa Aquatics and Zone IV Open Water Swimming Championships, taking place in Mauritius on 6โ€“7 June 2026.

Wearing the colours of South Africa on the international stage is a tremendous honour and a testament to Amyโ€™s hard work, passion, expertise, and dedication to the sport. Her commitment to developing swimmers and striving for excellence continues to create remarkable opportunities and inspire those around her.
