Last week,, our management team and coaching staff came together for an important alignment session as we continue building the future of Nexus Football Academy.

These sessions are vital in ensuring that everyone is moving in the same direction, sharing the same vision, and remaining committed to the values and standards that define our academy. We discussed player development, coaching methodology, operational planning, and the goals we have set for the remainder of the season.

Success is never achieved by individuals working in isolation. It comes from a united team with a clear purpose, open communication, and a shared commitment to excellence.

We are grateful to our coaches and management team for their passion, professionalism, and dedication to creating an environment where our players can grow both on and off the field.

The vision remains clear. The standards remain high. The work continues.

Another bittersweet moment for Nexus Football Academy as we bid farewell to our captain, Haydon, who will be joining Stellenbosch FC following a successful trial.

Haydon has been much more than just a player to this academy. When we think of him, we think of a leader. A player who consistently lifted those around him during difficult moments and, on many occasions, willingly carried the weight of those challenges on his own shoulders for the good of the team.

Leadership is not only about wearing the captain's armband; it is about setting standards, leading by example, and putting the team first. Haydon has done exactly that throughout his time with us.

As you take on this exciting new challenge, remember that your hard work, commitment, and sacrifices have never gone unnoticed.

The opportunity you have earned is a reflection of the countless hours you have invested in your development, both on and off the field.
While this chapter with Nexus comes to an end, our support for you does not. We will be keeping a close eye on your progress and will continue to be there through all the highs and lows that your journey brings. Bittersweet night for Nexus Football Academy last night.

Iviwe, better known as Juju, played his final match in Nexus colours during a training fixture against Tableview Football Club.

When Iviwe arrived at the academy, he was a boy with dreams and potential. Today, he leaves us as a young man who has shown tremendous growth, not only in his football, but also in his education and character. Watching his development has been a privilege for everyone involved in his journey.

Following a successful trial, Iviwe has earned the opportunity to join Stellenbosch FC, taking the next step in his football journey.

While his educational journey will continue with us, his football journey now moves on to bigger challenges and exciting new opportunities.

Although we are sad to see him leave, we are incredibly proud of what he has achieved and excited about what lies ahead. His journey is another reminder that hard work, commitment, and patience can open doors.

Juju, thank you for your dedication, your character, and the example you have set for those coming behind you. Remember that once you are part of the Nexus family, you are always part of the Nexus family. We will continue to monitor your progress, support you from afar, and celebrate every milestone along the way.

At the end of the day, kids just want to play, laugh, dance, compete and enjoy the game with their friends. Moments like these remind us what youth football is really about ❤️

A massive thank you to Bothasig FC for yet another successful tournament and for creating a space where kids can simply be kids while enjoying the beautiful game. 🙌⚽

Memories were made, friendships were built, and the vibes were unmatched 🔥

Even though Nexus Football Academy had an off weekend from league matches, the work never stops.

This weekend, four of our boys attended trials at professional clubs, two with Cape Town City and two with Stellenbosch FC.

Opportunities like these are a reminder that the pathway is real for young players who are willing to work, stay disciplined, and trust the process.

At Nexus, we remain committed to creating pathways for young people through both football and education.

Our goal has always been bigger than just results on the field, it is about helping our players grow, develop, and access opportunities that can shape their futures.

We are proud of these boys for representing themselves, their families, and the academy with pride, and we wish them all the best on their journeys.

As an academy, we believe that development goes far beyond the football field. This week, we take a short break from training and matches to allow our players the opportunity to focus fully on the exams ahead.

Education will always remain a priority within our program. The same discipline, commitment, and preparation that is required to succeed in football is needed in the classroom as well. We encourage all our players to use this time wisely, study hard, and give their best effort academically.

The player appreciation picture we share today is a reminder that we are proud not only of the footballers our boys are becoming, but also of the young men they are growing into off the field.

To all our parents and supporters, thank you for continuing to walk this journey with us as we strive to develop not only better footballers, but responsible young men with strong futures ahead of them.

We wish all our players the very best for the exam period. Keep pushing, stay focused, and make yourselves proud.
