BLUE DIAMOND CLASSIC 2026 🏆

Off the back of another huge result last weekend, the boys headed north to Pretoria for the Blue Diamond Classic — a race we knew was likely to be fast, aggressive and ultimately decided by a big bunch sprint.

The opening 60 kilometres were full taps, with attacks coming thick and fast.

Eventually, Simon Ferreira found himself clear with one other rider and put in an outstanding ride off the front. He came agonisingly close to making it all the way to the line, but with the other teams committed to the chase, the break was finally brought back inside the final few kilometres.

From there, it was all about positioning.
The lads delivered when it mattered, moving the entire team to the front ahead of the decisive final corner with just over a kilometre remaining.

James Swart took control in the closing kilometre , delivering the perfect lead-in before handing it over to Brad Gouveris. Brad opened up the sprint and launched Kellan Gouveris into the final run to the line.

Kellan absolutely rocketed to victory, taking a brilliant win, with Rhys Burrell producing a huge sprint of his own to secure second overall. Brad rounded out the team’s dominant performance in 4th, while James finished strongly in 8th.

A complete team performance from start to finish — controlled, calculated and executed exactly when it mattered.

The result puts us back on top of the Mzansi National Road Series. What a ride from the lads.

BUILD IT STREET MILE

Fresh off a dominant road race victory, the boys lined up for the Street Mile with one objective: keep the winning streak alive.

A race we’ve never lost as a team — and today was no different.
From the very first metre, the team went straight onto the front and hit the race with everything. Brad set an immediate high tempo, making sure nobody could get alongside the team.

Simon took over and kept the pace pinned before Rhys launched the next attack, opening the sprint from a long way out and forcing the field onto the back foot.

Then came the final ex*****on. James delivered a perfectly timed lead-out, setting up Kellan and Zane for the finish.
With the team completely controlling the race, Kellan hit the line first in dominant fashion, with Zane charging across the line in 3rd.

Another statement performance from the boys — back-to-back victories and a perfect weekend of racing.

BUILD IT CYCLE CLASSIC 2026 | RACE REPORT 🏆

A perfectly executed team performance saw us take victory at the 2026 Build It Cycle Classic, with Rhys Burrell claiming the win and Brad Gouveris finishing second.

From the opening kilometres, the race was characterised by constant attacks as teams fought to establish the decisive breakaway. Eventually, a two-rider move went clear, with James Swart representing the team at the front.

The break quickly established a lead of more than two minutes as the bunch hesitated behind. With the gap reaching approximately 2:30, the pace intensified and a series of attacks saw the advantage steadily reduced before the break was finally brought back with around 40 kilometres remaining.

The racing remained aggressive, with several late attempts to split the field. Zane Salzwedel made a strong move of his own in the closing stages, but the bunch remained committed to the sprint.

With a bunch finish now inevitable, the team switched its focus to positioning. Simon Ferreira and Kellan Gouveris took control in the closing kilometres, keeping the team safely positioned and setting up Rhys and Brad for the finale.

With one kilometre to go, the team remained perfectly organised. James Swart delivered a decisive lead-out, placing Brad at the front with 300 metres remaining. Brad launched the sprint with Rhys immediately on his wheel, and Rhys timed his effort perfectly to take the victory, with Brad crossing the line in second.
A complete team performance from start to finish.

The result delivers valuable National Road Series points and moves the team back into second place in the overall standings.

A day that demonstrated the strength, commitment and depth of this group.

A huge weekend for the team, with strong racing and a clean sweep of both podiums!

Saturday | Time Trial ⏱️
A short, sharp, full-gas opener saw James Swart take the win, followed by Zane Salzwedel in 2nd and Kellan in 3rd. A full podium sweep to start the weekend. 🥇🥈🥉

Sunday | Road Race 🚴
Cold and wet conditions made for a tough day of racing. Kellan, James and Simon broke clear early, before Brad and Rhys bridged across, putting five riders at the front.

The team worked together until the final lap, when the attacks started flying. Simon launched a huge move with 2km to go, but after he was brought back, Kellan countered and powered away to take the Eastern Province Road Race title! 🥇

Brad took 2nd, with Rhys in 3rd to complete another podium sweep. 🥈🥉

A seriously strong weekend of teamwork, strength and smart racing. 💪🚴
