Melkbosstrand Sports Association - MSA

The Melkbosstrand Sports Association (MSA) aims to represent a collective voice for sports and recreational bodies in the Melkbosstrand area.

The first goal the MSA has set itself is to draft a formal request to the City of Cape Town (CoCT) for more sports facilities in Melkbosstrand.

On 26 July the MSA committee is meeting with the CoCT to provide relevant information in support of the request for more suitable sports and recreation facilities in the area.

We are asking all formal and informal sports and recreational bodies to support this appeal by filling out the form below (see linked). Your support will strengthen our case and improve our chances of acquiring assistance from CoCT.

The first meeting of the steering committee of the Melkbosstrand Sports Association was held tonight. Chantelle Rheeder (pictured) informed the meeting about the options available to the organisation with regards to its legal structure and entity. Local ward councillor Paul Swart also explained the important role the organisation is to play in his appeal to the City of Cape Town to provide Melkbosstrand with its own sports facilities.

During a very fruitful meeting on Thursday night 13 people volunteered to be part of the steering committee that will drive the process to establish the Melkbosstrand Sports Association. The aim of the MSA is to provide a united voice for all the sports people, sports clubs, sports organisations and other role players in the appeal to the City of Cape Town for sport facilities in Melkbosstrand.
